This post is part of Creativity Monster’s Creative Video Week. The availability of video tools and software has opened things up to a larger group of creative minds. This is great for everything. We can all be inspired and learn from other’s ideas and examples. I’ll be posting great examples of creative work in video for the whole series.
Today’s video is another from the great YouTube/Guggenheim collab. We use words all of the time without really taking in their meanings to us. I love little things that play on the weirdness of the English language. This video takes a shot a looking at words, showing us all of the different meanings they take on, and then attaches a moment and an emotion to them. For a video about words, there is very little speaking in the video, but it still says volumes. I found myself wanting to rewatch this one over and over. Watch the Video!
Creative Video Week: Wrap-Up
It was tons of fun finding videos for creative video week! There’s so much cool stuff out there, I could probably do Creative Video Week every week. I was able to find arty videos, funny stuff videos, serious videos, and everything in between.
One of the biggest things I learned was that with the online tools available, anyone can share their videos and find an audience these days. There are lots of cool things that can be done with technology, too, but technology and computers aren’t needed to make a really creative video. Lots of everyday items can become props, lots of techniques don’t require really complex tech, just some work.
