It is amazing to me that it is possible to create a 3D model at home, send that sucker to a company somewhere else, and get our design back as a solid, three dimensional object in a little over a week. I used to know this kid in school, maybe you knew someone like him. Whenever he had a pair of shoes for a while, he would apparently feel the urge to get creative. He would take his older pair of shoes, and redesign them. Maybe “re-skinning” would be a more proper term it was all in the color and look. Anyway, he would take these shoes and marker them up, draw on them, spray paint them, until he had a new crazy pair of shoes. He had one pair of shiny gold shoes. It always reminded me of Michael Johnson, for you 1996 Olympics fans (w00t Atlanta!).

Tool: How to Edit and Prep Images Online
I have started to get really focused on the idea of workflow. For me an integral part of my workflow is image prep, editing, and manipulation. Do you find that wrangling images into something you can use online takes longer than it should? Sometimes I really just need to quickly edit an image, and launching Photoshop or some other large software is just too much.
